Sept 2. Bye Bye St. Andrews

If the world was less crowded, maybe urban areas could maintain the qualities that make St. Andrews special. Minimal noise, pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Friendly people. Minimal litter on the streets. Polite teenagers. I have really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. And it doesn’t hurt that the sun has been bright and the sky has been cloudless.

Julie has school again today. We are at an excellent coffee/pastry place called Honeybeans. And new friend Lucas is here with his parents. We met Lucas at the playground at the Algonquin yesterday. Sweet boy, very nice mom and dad. Big brother going to college in a few days in Moncton.

The laundry is cooking down the street while Everyday Math gets filed. After her break, Julie will be doing Language Arts. I’m on. Unless the hair salon next door opens really soon….  Better get my lesson plan ready.
